B. Mimms "CEO of Street Composed Entertainment"

Brandon Mimms, better known as B. Mimms, is a 19 year old North Memphis native who strives to be the epitome of young moguls. “My whole team is young and I’m the youngest in the whole click, not even 20 yet.” B. Mimms is the CEO of Street Composed Entertainment, also known as S.C.E., which was established in 2006. “I was working heavily with my first artist Trouble. Now I’m working with my artist Yung Reno, who just dropped his debut mixtape titled “City is Mine”. Also I’m in the studio now with Carlito working on a single to push heavily in this second quarter.” So what makes his artists on his record label so unique? “I try to have a well rounded label. My artist Trouble(name speaks for itself) offers that real hood, gutta, street shit that the real street niggas can relate to. Carlito is your everyday stay fly, stay fresh, type of artist that everyone can relate to, I compare him to Yung Joc. Yung Reno offers versatility, not only in his delivery but in his subject matter."

Being that music is his only passion and all he knows , it has always played a major role in his life but was something he never saw a future in until high school where the opportunity arose. “This music shit is a real hustle and it takes serious tome, dedication, and a grind. If you ain’t 10 toes down then you might as well go a different route.”

“I’ve always been a “why work for someone when you can do it gor yourself” type of person. I felt like I had all the tools to make it possible, so why not?”

So who is someone he looks up to? “ On some real shit, I look up to Gotti. I don’t think no other indie label is as structured as I&E, and everything is that way because of him. He’s not just an artist he uses his business sense and street sense to really make shit happen.”

Whats an advantage of being a CEO? “An advantage is that I don’t report to anybody. This is a team, everybody hold the same power and no one person can make a decision. “You’re only as strong as your team.” What would be an disadvantage of being a CEO? “When shit hits the fan be prepared for everything to fall on your back and be prepared to carry that weight.”

“I don’t consider myself an CEO yet,I’m a hustler. I feel like certain things have to be achieved before you can be rightfully called a CEO, and until I do those things I’m just…….B. Mimms.”

So what’s next for B. Mimms and the whole S.C.E? They are going to continue to try and further their artists career, also some major things from parties to promotions. “My homie Weezy Wee has expanded and is working with modeling stuff. Shout out to S.D.G.
“Shoutout first and foremost to anybody who in my corner 100%. The whole S.C.E/ I&E fam. Just everybody and especially Mz. Jaszy.”

Street Queen Entertainment

Presents

Miss Mama Queen

Lasheka Benford, better known as Lil Mama,Miss Mama Queen, or just Queen, is one of the best female rappers on the come up as of right now. At just the age of 21 she writes her own music, as well as writes R&B songs for others,"I'm Cold with the R and B songwriting ! I been working with several local artists, just trying to get my name in the songwriting game. Best so work so far is "Happiness" and "Upz and Downz", both of those songs are on Myspace at www.myspace.com/streetqueenzentrandb."

She has already been compared to majority of all the female rappers in the game, but when it is all said and done just wants to be one of the best to ever do it. She recently just sold over 40,000 ringtones on Myxer, she felt this was one of her biggest accomplishments, being that she has no big marketing schemes or major promotion."Im down here in this small city, and its people in the U.K. That have me on there ringtone. Like there's 40,000 people out there that when their phone ring, my song plays. That's incredible to me. Hopefully this time next year we will be discussing my million downloads accomplishment."

So who is Lil Mama? "Well Lil Mama is a name that was given to me when I was a lil one, like months old. Ive always been called that ever since. And at one point it was also my rap name, but I had to change it, due to legal issues with the other female rapper Lil' Mama. So now I go by Miss Mama Queen or Queen whateva floats best. But who is Miss Mama Queen? She's a ordinary female out here grinding trying to provide for me and mines one way or the other." When it comes to her influences she came up listening to Mary J. Blige,TLC,Aaliyah, and Monica, but the first rapper that she actually got into was Eve."I use to write down her lyrics and recite them, and be all hype about it. That was back in the 8th grade, and then I just started rapping myself. Then I started listening to different artists and different styles of Hip Hop. I love Jay-Z, Pac, Nas, Fab, Remy Ma (Free Remy), T.I., Weezy, Kanye, and many others."

When it comes to the lack of female rappers in the industry, "I think a major problem that females dont realize is that it aint healthy to come in the game on a man's coatails, especially if he's already established. Alot of women settle for less too often when it comes to record deals and promotion. Also the females I've seen currently, it seems like they're scared to come out of the norm. Also at the same time, these labels are scared to put full promotion into a female rapper, which means that we have to work ten times harder than a male. The females that dont realize this fact, sit back and wait for the label to push the album, which is not gon' happen. There's a female from a round this way named Lady Dolla, thats one female i can say that has hustled from square one, to the top of her game, by her lonesome. just by gettin it in, working hard. I'm inspired by her, I believe she's with Chopper City Records now. But I admire her for that, and it encourages me. Thats why I'm not big on signing to no huge label, im already aware that it's every female for themself in this game."

" I can turn nothing into something, same time dismiss something like its Nothing!" To me that means that coming where im from, we had to make something out of nothing, erythang that I got now, wasn't given to me, I had to work for it. At the same time, some things or people may seem important, but sometimes you just have to let things go.

Her target marketers for her music, are young teenage females in the hood or the urban market. Being that she has experienced some of the same struggles they have in the past and currently, whether it's speaking about relationships, love, or whatever the situation might be. This February she begins working on her Debut release under her record label Street Queenz Entertainment. None of her other work has actually been put in stores just pushed out in the streets, but on this debut she wants to go all the way and see what the business has in store for her. She looks foward to working on the songwriting tip with Beyonce, Keyshia, Monica, Lil Mo, and Mary J. Blige. Rap wise, she's looking forward to working with Remy Ma. "Since she been locked up, the female game been quiet. I see Nikki shaking some thangs but im trynna get in there, and do me."

When asked would she ever do a reality show like Miss Rap Supreme, she repiled "My thing with that show is….where are they finding this talent and what process did they have to go through to get there? I just felt like they could've found better talent. But would I do the show? Yes! For the love of Money, and for the Exposure." When it comes to her favorite stores she like antique shops or thrift stores, that sell stuff from the 80's and 90's era. She loves buying accessories, odd items, and clothes, so when it comes to going to a party no one has on her outfit. When it comes to a celeb crush, it definitely has to be T.I. "From the outside looking in, he seems to be what the definition of a real Hood N**** is pose to be. Family man, Business man, and got Street Knowledge, plus he fine as f***. So yeah, he can get it."

With all that said first and foremost big shoutouts to Jaszy for giving me this opportunity, best wishes to everything you put ya hands on Homie. Thanks to all the fans in every hood, city, state, and country. Shoutouts to My Street and Online Teamz. To my Manager D, Myxer.com, Block2Block, HTHG, and Rawksteady, thanx for the support. BIG UPZ TO ALLL MY HATAZZ ! MWAHHHHH!
